"Semi Feral Foal Handling Workshop"
£250 |
|
 |
Book early for an exciting opportunity learning to handle Dartmoor ponies with the Dartmoor Pony Training Centre and Sarah Weston, of Intelligent Horsemanship.
The workshop, from 25-29 October in Widecombe, Devon, (cost £250), will use feral ponies, though learning applies to all equines. Limited daily spectator entry is £20.
Participants will learn to:
· build trust with the pony
· first approach/body language
· accepting a head collar/how to lead
· pick up a pony`s feet
· finish with a calm, confident, loving pony
Great care is taken to ensure the foals are trained without fear or force. The emphasis is on a trusting partnership.
Kelly Marks, founder of Intelligent Horsemanship, says: “Sarah has an exceptional ability with unhandled and semi-feral ponies and a straightforward way of teaching others to work with them in the same way.`
